Will Bulgaria lose more places in the rankings for the freedom of speech index after the signal of IUSTITIA.BG to “Reporters Without Borders”?
Freedom of speech in Bulgaria : As mentioned in our previous articles, we have reported unprecedented police harassment of investigative journalists in trying to stop journalistic investigation about mafia murder in the center of the 4-th biggest city in country – Burgas city to Reporters Without Borders in France.
We publish without correction the signal describing the problems we experienced because we revealed the connection between the prosecutor’s office and the police with organized crime in Burgas at the local level.

About: Freedom of speech in Bulgaria is in danger.
Circumstances the need to be included in the report about the Freedom of the speech INDEX in Bulgaria

Dear Representatives of the European Commission in Bulgaria,
Dear Reporters sans frontières, RSF,
Dear Chairman of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ),
I would like to send you the following journalistic signal for serious intentional crimes!
I am a journalist at the investigative site “iUSTITIA” (iustitia.bg) and
in my work I conducted a journalistic investigation, which revealed how officers in the police in Burgas and the District Prosecutor’s Office – Burgas cover up SERIOUS INTENTIONAL MURDER COMMITTED IN THE CENTER OF BURGAS IN FRONT OF MANY WITNESSES!
Our media made an exclusive journalistic investigation against the mafia in Burgas in connection with a murder committed by the famous mafia clan and gang of Plamen Russev in Burgas.
Dear Reporters sans frontières, RSF, there is a huge problem with freedom of speech in Bulgaria and I, as journalists and our media, feel it on ourselves.
Instead of accepting our signal for investigation, the police officers in Burgas and the Prosecutor’s Office resumed some old pre-trial proceedings against an unknown perpetrator, in which they summoned all our journalists – Tony Novachev, me Petar Nizamov and others. Questions were asked there, not about the DP they are supposedly witnessing, but about our journalistic work on our investigation into the murder of the New Post office, along with which evidence emerged of the links between local law enforcement agencies and the gang of Plamen Russev. A bloodthirsty gang that has at least 40 stabbed group citizens of Burgas behind them. Cases that have been terminated after the victims and witnesses have been threatened. Attempts have been made to be intimidated and to stop our investigations.
In the police our journalists were treated by the policemen of Koloyan Kolyanov – Director of the police in Burgas district that if they do not stop this investigation they could be attacked by anyone suddenly or a car could drive through them while crossing the street.
Also we were made to say our sources for information about the murder of the famous gang.
Our journalists and me were taken our phones and we were made to unlock them. We have evidences in video, because all of us were called the phone to come in the Police without official summons.
In addition, an investigation has been launched against our media, which the police in Burgas use to call all our contractors for questioning and warn them not to work with uk. Otherwise, they would be the subject of investigations.
As a result, our media lost many clients and counterparties.
The aim is to financially reset our media, which does not receive subsidies, but is supported by our personal funds, which actually come from ourselves, which are currently the subject of repression in order to liquidate our free media.
We are part of the “Union of the journalists in Bulgaria PODKREPA“, which is part of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) in Brussels. We have prepared a signal for the repression of police and prosecutors in Burgas against our journalistic work, as well as in essence against freedom of speech.
These circumstances must be included in the report on the state of freedom of speech in Bulgaria for 2023, which will probably lead to the loss of new places for Bulgaria in the ranking of the state of freedom of speech after the end of 2023.
Freedom of speech in Bulgaria is in danger. The investigation we made which is the real reason to be repressed is about the murder of the “New Post office” in Burgas city
(the 4-th biggest city and the biggest port in Bulgaria with 200k population) on November 27, 2022, in which a young boy was ambushed by three famous mobsters from the mafia gang in Burgas, was stabbed in the heart and subsequently died.
The murderer confessed when doctors were fighting for the life of the deceased boy. The two suspects have not been charged at all.
Our media got a photo showing the three killers moving out immediately after the murder with two machetes (huge knives) and a bat in their hands.
You can see the photo in our article: The murderer Rusev and the two “witnesses” with clubs and knives in their hands after the murder at the NewcPost office in Burgas – UNIQUE PHOTO
However, they have not been charged at all, since the whole city has already seen this photo, as well as two videos that our media presented to the society:
FIRST :
A few days before the murder itself, the murderer Rusev, again in the company of his accomplices, provoked a mass fight – type 90s in the Burgas restaurant “Andrew’s House”, in which he beat another company in front of 50 witnesses, and the fight ended with the extraction of knives and threats of murder by the killer Plamen Russev and his gang, in which Atanas Maystorov – the Nakata Tattooist was a participant. The police stayed silent after our signals about this.
The video is available on the Internet at link:
with over 50,000 views on this platform alone.
SECONDLY:
A month before the murder – another mobster from their gang attacked in broad daylight a young family with two babies in broad daylight in a restaurant in Slaveykov district in Burgas – “Arnold Food”. The attack was recorded on tape, a complaint was filed, but there are still no results. The police stayed silent after our signals about this.

In our media we have written more than 20 articles on this issue, but apparently the killer, who is already a “real estate developer” has probably corrupted police and prosecutors in the city in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria and
there is talk in the city that some apartments “green” are being transferred to law enforcement agencies related to the investigation
so as not to search for witnesses, so as not to accuse the other two killers. To use them as “only” witnesses to support the version of the accused Plamen Russev so that he could get away with a murder charge under Art. 118 of the SEC, not as it should be under art. 116.
Please, these circumstances will be included in the report on the state of freedom of speech in Bulgaria for 2023.
We will be expecting your respond.
